Case Capsule – Our First Robotic Cholecystectomy @ Fortis Cunningham
A 57-year-old gentleman, post CABG and Mitral valve replacement on Acitrom, presented with recurrent right upper abdominal pain and dyspepsia of 6 months duration.
He was diagnosed with Chronic Calculous Cholecystitis. After obtaining cardiologist fitness, we performed a Robotic Cholecystectomy using four robotic arms.
Intraoperatively, the gallbladder was thick-walled, with a frozen Calot’s triangle and was adherent to the liver bed.
The patient recovered well and was discharged the following day. Acitrom therapy was resumed post-discharge.
